Ministry of Education signs Unison enterprise license agreement

Christchurch, New Zealand – 30 April 2012 – The Ministry of Education has signed an enterprise license agreement with Hindin Solutions to deploy Unison, a scalable enterprise workflow platform and application tool set. The agreement extends the use and deployment of Ministry based solutions utilising Unison, from an existing base of 700 internal Ministry of Education users to the wider Education Sector.

The current range of service delivery applications covers case management to contact management to service requests. The contract was awarded following a competitive tender process.

Leanne Gibson, CIO, Ministry of Education says, “The Unison tool set has been utilised across a variety of groups in the Ministry of Education for a number of years. Our decision to enter into an enterprise licence for Unison will allow us to better support the Education sector in its future delivery of outcomes.”

The Unison tool set supports robust and flexible enterprise solutions for contact centres, stakeholder engagement, contracts management and many other real-world scenarios. Unison is a fully integrated enterprise knowledgebase, stakeholder communications and business process automation platform which allows businesses, both public and private sector, to make accurate and timely information available to staff and stakeholders.

Mr Neil Fletcher, CEO, Hindin Solutions says, “The Unison platform has proven to be a really good fit for the Ministry of Education as it’s allowed them to meet their changing needs and those of their stakeholders. Key business applications have been developed in an economic, speedy and responsive way due to Unison’s power and flexibility. The process of scaling from 700 internal users to possibly 12,000 users in a variety of locations has also been straightforward.”

Ministry of Education users will range from internal users for various Ministry of Education groups including call centre systems and field workers using a mobile interface, to external users including schools and teachers, and child education psychologists.

Additional applications could be developed across the business where there is a need for Education Sector employees and their suppliers of services to work together and manage key information in a coherent and efficient way.
