3 May 2012

Haier Life, Haier education
Appliance brand provides the perfect ‘welcome to the real world’

Haier Appliances are upping their range available in New Zealand, by introducing a series of new products to a growing home appliance range available to cost-conscious Kiwi grads and their savvy support crew.

More than ever before, graduates are under pressure to get ‘real life’ off to a flying start – often beginning with kitting out a flat, and for the first time making grown-up decisions on long-term adult purchases. ‘Hand me downs’ and rental appliances are well-and-truly off the list!

Two new front loading washers added to the quality and affordable range of fridges, dryers and dishwashers, will bring some home comfort to many new grads preparing for a ‘winter of discontent’, faced with rising youth unemployment and the reality of rent, bills and adult responsibilities for the first time.

Mums and dads looking for the ultimate post-graduation gift have got it in one – a lesson in choosing the right tools in the proper running of any home, and an item that will leave the kids in no-doubt it’s time to find their own place!

NZ’s fastest growing appliance brand, Haier’s stylish, quality technology has been purposed designed to deliver a little luxury, with the appliance range priced to suit all budgets.

“We understand that with rising rental prices in the urban centres, plus a limited job market for the freshly qualified, the last thing they’ll want to be spending their hard-earned pocket money on is pricey home appliances,” said Brand Manager Yvonne Hong.

“Haier offers a new value proposition, delivering quality and style at a price point to suit even the most minimal of entry-level pay packets.”

It’s tough enough out there in the middle of a recession.

“Mums, it’s time to stop ironing their undies and pre-freezing lasagne portions – the world is waiting for them!”
