Unison Support Kicks Off Another Great Season

Unison Support Kicks Off Another Great Season

9 May 2012 – The Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union’s junior rugby programme is underway, with thousands of future rugby stars enjoying the benefits of Unison’s continued support.

Unison has provided junior rugby players with a kit bag including a mouth guard and poncho. Coaches have received a hit-bag for their club, jacket, cones and Unison Player of the Day certificates.

Unison Group Chief Executive Ken Sutherland says the aim of the partnership is to help grow the game locally.

“Our sponsorship means we can support the community at a grassroots level. It is a fantastic way to grow the game locally and to recognise the great support of the volunteer coaches, referees and family members that make this programme possible.”

Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union CEO Mike Bishop says the Union is proud to have Unison on board.

“Unison has firmly established itself as Hawke’s Bay rugby’s biggest supporter. Since Unison became the major sponsor of junior rugby, participation has increased by five percent.”

The popular Unison Medal will again recognise players who have consistently shown great work ethic, discipline and sportsmanship. It will be awarded to nominated players at a ceremony at the end of the 2012 season.

Unison is running two competitions throughout the season, in search of the best Junior rugby photo, and the Game of the Week video. More information on prizes and how to enter the weekly draws can be found at www.unison.co.nz/rugbyzone.
