InternetNZ to organise meeting of ICT NGOs
16 May 2012
InternetNZ (Internet New Zealand Inc) has issued an open invitation to NGOs active in the ICT sector to a meeting on Wednesday 11th July 2012 in Auckland. The invitation is published at http://tinyurl.com/cfwgu2b.
InternetNZ Chief Executive Vikram Kumar says, “The meeting will provide us with an opportunity to know more about each others’ priorities and plans for the year ahead. In turn, this will allow us to get to know each other better and perhaps identify areas of common interest to make the most of our limited resources”.
The meeting is open to any NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) active in the ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) sector. Attending the meeting is free of cost thanks to NetHui 2012 http://nethui.org.nz/, a conference on Internet-related issues being organised by InternetNZ at SkyCity Convention Centre, Auckland from 11th to 13th July 2012. Registration for NetHui 2012 is $40 (inclusive of GST) for all 3 days but people attending the meeting of ICT NGOs don’t have to necessarily register for NetHui 2012.
Vikram Kumar says, “InternetNZ is encouraging people and organisations to take advantage of NetHui as a platform to organise open, Internet-related meetings. Several such meetings have already been organised. This provides value to both meeting organisers as well as those attending. We hope people attending these meetings will also take the opportunity to participate in NetHui 2012.”
Any person or organisation interested to know more about organising a meeting at NetHui 2012 should contact Richard Wood richard@internetnz.net.nz.
