Deloitte tax partner brings extensive legal experience to new role
Deloitte has announced the appointment of Campbell Rose as a tax partner in the firm’s Auckland office, effective from June 1.
Mr Rose will join Deloitte from law firm Russell McVeagh, where he has been a partner for the past six years.
Mr Rose says his specialist legal tax expertise in transactional services, managed funds and tax investigations enables him to assist a range of clients in different circumstances, from multi-national corporates through to growing small to medium enterprises.
One of his key objectives is providing clients with advice that has longevity so that risks are comprehensively addressed, Mr Rose says.
“Tax can be complex and sometimes overwhelming for businesses so my role is about helping them see the wood for the trees and coming up with pragmatic, commercially focused and solution-oriented advice,” Mr Rose says.
“Clients need a trusted adviser who can provide lasting solutions to their tax issues so they can focus on what they’re passionate about – running a successful business.”
“I am truly excited to be part of a large team that really does embrace the benefits that flow from harnessing the different skills and perspectives of each of its partners and senior team members.”
Deloitte CEO Thomas Pippos says Deloitte’s ability to attract a rare talent such as Mr Rose to the firm’s award-winning tax team is further evidence of the strides that have been made in that part of the business.
“It is another example where we have augmented our existing team with a partner that has a different and unique perspective that better enables us to meet the needs of businesses operating in an increasingly demanding environment,” Mr Pippos says.
“Campbell is known in the market for having established strong credentials in his fields of expertise.
“He is a very talented individual who brings a set of different experiences to enhance our already strong tax practice and he broadens the depth of our team to serve our clients’ ever more complex business needs.”
