Most Kiwi Expats have a positive impression of the New Zealand Economy and Employment Market
The New Zealand offices of leading specialist recruitment consultancy Robert Walters have published their 2012 International Insights Survey.
The Survey was conceived in order assist New Zealand businesses ensure that they have the best strategies in place to attract highly qualified overseas professionals. It was sent out to Robert Walters’ extensive database of New Zealand professionals living overseas in order to gauge their thoughts about a return to New Zealand.
One of the key questions posed to participants was their opinion of the NZ economy. Over half of those surveyed, 51.9%, indicated that they felt the local economy was generally good. Participants were also asked to give their opinion of the New Zealand employment market and the majority of respondents, 42.9%, indicated that they felt that the local employment market was looking fairly positive.
Robert Walters' New Zealand Managing Director, Richard Manthel commented:
"We are seeing increased interest from New Zealanders seeking to return home this year and it is really encouraging to see that most have a positive outlook. Our dedicated International Career Management team are talking to Kiwis on a daily basis and for those based in London, the Olympics is proving to be a reason for staying on in the Capital, with the majority looking to return home soon afterwards. To this end, Robert Walters is organising a series of NZ Information Seminars in London this July to educate NZ expats about the market and there has already been a high level of interest.”
