Rediscover the Art of Fine Dining with Waipara Hills Pinot Noir
This winter accept nothing but the best for your friends and family as you rediscover the art of fine dining with Waipara Hills.
With the cooler months well and truly set in, the indoors begin to beckon - and what better way to enjoy the season than rediscovering fine dining at its best!
Waipara Hills delivers the ultimate taste for the winter with their 2010 Waipara Hills Central Otago Pinot Noir - the perfect companion for completing a fine dining experience.
A distinguished wine that will enhance your meal, the 2010 Waipara Hills Central Otago Pinot Noir can satisfy any guest with a wonderfully rich and rustic nose of earth, chocolate, spice and dark cherry aromas. The nose follows through to the palate with dark cherry and earthy, chocolate notes, then the firm tannins pull the flavours together to leave the palate crisp and eagerly awaiting the next sip.
Ideally served at room temperature this garnet-hued vintage best accompanies a classic coq au vin - bringing out all the flavours for a mouth watering dining experience.
With a range of accolades from Silver at the 2011 Spiegelau International Wine Competition to being awarded 4 stars in Cuisine magazine - the 2010 Waipara Hills Central Otago Pinot Noir is the perfect wine to make an impression with your friends and family.
Truly making its mark on the world the 2010 Waipara Hills Central Otago Pinot Noir also received Highly Commended at the 2012 Sydney International Wine Competition.
Wines at the competition were judged alongside food and comments for the Waipara Hills Central Otago Pinot Noir included; "Smoky toasty oak nose predominates with red fruit aromas underlying. A sweet ripe attack. Bright and generous for full bodied intense and long wine."
The 2010 Waipara Hills Central Otago Pinot Noir also received 3 stars when matched with mushroom risotto at the inaugural 'What Food What Wine' competition in the UK.
Waipara Hills Winemaker, Simon McGeorge, says the wine brings delightful and complimentary attributes to the table, and they are thrilled with the success it has had.
"Our Central Otago Pinot Noir is a distinct flavour that stands out in itself, as well as perfectly accompanying a meal," says McGeorge.
"The awards received by this vintage have shown its value on a national and international level, and we are delighted with the achievements."
