NZ Film Commission Statement of Intent 2012/13 – 2014/15

1ST June 2012

NZFC Releases Statement of Intent 2012/13 – 2014/15

The New Zealand Film Commission is pleased to release its Statement of Intent for the period through to 2015.

The Commission works hard to ensure great New Zealand stories are told through film and that they are seen and valued by New Zealanders.

It also plays a major role in developing and nurturing talent and supporting the wider film industry’s valuable contribution to the $3bn screen sector.

This involves investment and support in all aspects of the film and screen industry from shorts and low budget initiatives to the administration of the Government’s Large Budget Scheme, from script and talent development to the work of the NZFC’s international sales agency, and from feature film production investment to ensuring Kiwi films are centre stage at international film festivals.

As well as supporting films which contribute to a varied slate, we look forward to recommendations from the screen sector work programme being conducted by the Ministry for Culture and Heritage and the Ministry of Economic Development.

The NZFC will also continue to focus on its core business of representing New Zealand films, filmmakers and the Government on the international stage.

The NZFC Statement of Intent 2012/13 – 2014/15 can be read here.
