Christmas is the time of year that we usually associate with time off work.
But April runs a close second as the month with the fewest working days on the calendar.
And that’s an important point to keep in mind when evaluating monthly spending patterns because of the strong seasonal influence that public holidays (Easter and ANZAC Day) has over purchasing habits because the pace of spending eases off a little – even though we often think of holidays as a time when consumers increase spending.
