Sheldon & Partners And the Property Institute of NZ

The Property Institute is pleased to announce Sheldon & Partners, Auckland based Valuers and Property Consultants, have gained accreditation with the Institute in Real Property Valuation.

“Sheldon & Partners is one of many highly respected firms who will be recognised within the accreditation scheme” said Jo Parry, Property Institute Accreditation Manager.

Accreditation is granted to firms who demonstrate they operate a robust quality management system, undergo onsite audits, and have an evaluation of recently conducted valuation reports, amongst other requirements.

Tony McEwan, Director of Sheldon & Partners, said "it is essential for any company in our Profession to have quality management systems and processes in place to ensure that practices, policies and processes are effectively managed and communicated to the staff, clients and stakeholders.

"It has been a useful experience gathering and analysing the systems and processes which have evolved over time since the Practice was established some 38 years ago.

"I believe the QA initiative will enhance the quality of valuation services QA companies provide to the public and stakeholders such as lenders and insurers."

The Quality Assurance and Accreditation scheme has been in development for over a year, and offers accreditation in Real Property Valuation, Plant and Machinery Valuation, Property and Facilities Management, and Property Advisory.

To date, expressions of interest have been received from over one hundred firms covering the entire country. It is expected that a large number of these firms will have completed the process and received accreditation by the end of the year.

“Independent certification of quality assurance processes provides a vital point of difference for firms and will go a long way towards cementing the strong reputation of companies operating in our four professional communities” said Mrs Parry.
