The CIO Summit 2012 will feature an unprecedented group of international keynote speakers and local field specialists who will address New Zealand’s premier conference for business technology leaders in Auckland on June 25-26.
The powerhouse of keynote speakers include Facebook CIO Tim Campos, IDC chief analyst Frank Gens, VMware CTO Paul Strong, Denise McDonagh G-Cloud programme director Her Majesty’s Government , and Steve Rubinow CIO FX Alliance (former executive vice president and CIO NYSE Euronext), who will also answer questions related to their speaker topics in extended Q&A sessions.
“We are thrilled at the calibre of speakers attending this year’s Summit. It’s a true reflection of the event standard achieved over the last five years,” says CIO editor Divina Paredes.
Now in its sixth year, the CIO Summit, to be held at SkyCity is the largest independent gathering of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, attended by more than 550 ICT professionals. It is organised by CIO New Zealand, analyst firm IDC and Conferenz.
Themed ‘The Leadership Imperative: business growth, agility and collaboration’ the two-day event delivers an inspiring line-up and the opportunity for collaboration and co-creation.
Day one of the event features Frank Gens who will be speaking on competing for 2020 – ICT decisions CIOs must get right today, providing a compelling strategic view of key global technology trends. Paul Strong covers the new IT and the world of the CIO from changing infrastructure to new applications. Facebook CIO Tim Campos rounds up the day with insights into his role and the social enterprise before networking drinks and the CIO Awards dinner. The winners for the CIO of the Year,
Emerging ICT Leader of the Year and Executive Team of the Year will be announced during the dinner.
Day two’s international keynote speakers Denise McDonagh and Steve Rubinow will each address separately a changing government ICT landscape and the CIO as a business leader.
