Allen Realty releases new Tenant Induction Video

Allen Realty Property Managers release new Tenant Induction Video

Auckland wide specialist property managers Allen Realty Ltd are once again breaking new ground with the recent release of their Tenant Induction Video. In what is believed to be an Auckland first, the video aims to help protect a property owner’s investment by educating tenants on their obligations in order to reduce the risk of problems occurring during a tenancy. Simon Allen, Business Development Manager at Allen Realty and Real Estate Institute of New Zealand Property Manager of the Year 2011 reports that “different types of tenants learn and absorb information in different ways” and the induction video aims to help tenants understand more about their obligations in a new format. The video also compliments the new Tenant Handbook which was released earlier in the year and both resources provide information that tenants can continue to refer to throughout their tenancy. To assist tenants whose first language is not English, the Tenant Induction Video can also be viewed with captions in over 150 languages, and captions can also be set to English for the hearing impaired.

The release of this new video is yet another step Allen’s has taken towards investing in tenant resources. All Allen’s tenants receive free Sky TV installation with the first month free and in March 2012 in association with Kings Plant Barn, Allen’s initiated an industry first and introduced new Tenant Gardening Club Cards. These offer all tenants discounts on plants and vegetables purchased at Kings as well as ongoing advice of when to plant throughout the year. Mr Allen reports that “times are changing and as well as looking after a property owner’s interests, the tenant’s interests are also now more important than ever. We want to encourage tenants to stay long term and reside in homes for five to six years rather than two or three. Property management is a customer service role and the more resources and support we provide both tenants and landlords will help us achieve our goal of a positive customer experience and long term tenancies with limited vacancies”.

Allen Realty is a 100% specialist Auckland residential property rental management company with a growing network of local branches in Mt Eden, Auckland CBD, Greenlane and Manukau.
