Vodafone gives BestMates value to your home phone

Calling friends and family from home just got more affordable with the launch of Vodafone’s BestMates for home phone, allowing customers to call up to five mobile or landline numbers for free.

Vodafone revolutionised the way Kiwis use their mobiles with BestMate, launched in November 2006. Now Vodafone home phone customers can also take advantage of this great value.

The average Kiwi makes 71% of their calls to the same five phone numbers every month* So Vodafone is helping customers stay connected to the five people who matter most with BestMates for home phone. Customers nominate up to five friends or family members with any NZ mobile or NZ landline, to call as many times as they like (up to two hours each call) from their Vodafone home phone.

Greg Campbell, Chief Marketing Officer explains: “BestMates for home phone lets you keep a constant connection to close friends and family – whether they’re on a mobile phone or landline.

“We all enjoy the comfort of using our home phone to chat, but sometimes fear the costs of contacting friends and family when they’re out and about,” continues Greg. “So we’re giving Kiwis peace of mind and the freedom to call NZ mobiles and NZ landlines from their home phone.

“Choose the friends and family you talk to most often – or who you wish you talked to more – and add them to your BestMates. With BestMates for home phone, you can talk to friends and family anytime without worrying about what it costs.”

BestMates for home phone is included for $0 in two new Vodafone home and broadband plans, Choice and Mega Packs, and as a standard add-on for $20 per month on Basic and Easy Packs.

Existing customers who would like to upgrade to BestMates for home phone should contact Vodafone’s customer service team.
