CNE Security Pleads Not Guilty

CNE Security Limited has pleaded not guilty to charges laid by the Department of Labour (now the Labour Group of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment), following the death of an employee on the job last year.

The employee was killed on 18 November 2011 while on duty as a security guard. It was his first shift for the company.

The charges relates to section 6 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, and an alternative charge under section 18(1)(b).

CNE Security will appear in Waitakere District Court for a status hearing on 15 October 2012.
