M-Performance models star on Jerry Clayton BMW display at CRC Speedshow
A stunning line-up of three new BMW M-Performance models will grace the Jerry Clayton BMW display at the 2012 CRC Speedshow, which takes place at the ASB Showgrounds on 21 and 22 July.

New cars on display include examples from the 1, 3 and 5 Series model ranges and all feature BMW M-Performance enhancements to further augment the appearance and performance of the world renowned ‘ultimate driving machine’.

“Visitors to the 2011 CRC Speedshow may recall we enjoyed a special early preview of the new BMW 1 Series M coupe,” says CRC Speedshow promoter Keith Sharp.

“The 1 Series M coupe is a stunning car, no doubt about it, so it was no surprise when the BMW 1 Series, as a whole, was presented with both the NZ Herald small car of the year award as well as prestigious overall car of the tear title.”

Among the vehicles presented by the team from Jerry Clayton BMW this year is the latest BMW 118d which is recognised by Element, the sustainable living magazine published by NZ Herald, as the number one ‘best new car for 2012’.

Lauded as the ‘best car for the environmentally conscious motorist,’ the 143 bhp, 2.0-litre BMW 118d has been praised for its suite of EfficientDynamic technology, impressive handling, sports-car-like rear-drive handling and that it is ‘serious about being green’.

Jerry Clayton BMW dealer principal Steve Hilson is also pleased to have the top of the range BMW 335i, a fire-breathing six-cylinder petrol sedan, for CRC Speedshow fans to see.

“The BMW 3 Series is the world’s best-selling premium car and more than 12 million have been sold around the world since first launched in 1975,” says Hilson. “The latest models represent the sixth generation of one of the world’s most iconic sedans and sets new benchmarks in terms of sporting prowess, elegance and comfort.

“We have yet another award-winner to show CRC Speedshow visitors – the 535i sedan.

“The BMW 5 Series is an award winner right from the time of its launch and the 535i is the epitome of driving style – a premium luxury machine with a dynamic driving experience.

“We’re looking forward to yet another fantastic show and hope car fans have got the weekend of 21 and 22 July booked out to come along to CRC Speedshow!”

CRC Speedshow takes place at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland and attracts visitors from all over New Zealand and overseas. Tickets are available at the gate and the latest show news is updated on the website, www.speedshow.co.nz, on a regular basis, or follow the show on Facebook and Twitter.
