Masterchef Contestant Crowdfunds Cordonbleu Fees
Masterchef contestant Chris Turner went to his crowd of fans to help fund his Cordon Bleu fees with amazing success.
Turner, an avid baker, offered his crowd rewards ranging from a dozen macaroons to a 4 course dinner at home in return for pledges of support. He had an ambitious goal, but managed to meet his target of $5,000 with time to spare.
“The experience was fun, it really confirmed for me why I wanted to do what I am doing” says Turner “Crowdfunding is an awesome way of raising funds and creating awareness of your dreams!”
PledgeMe, New Zealand’s crowdfunding platform, was excited by this recent success. “We knew the need for crowdfunding extended beyond just pure art projects, and we’re really excited that Chris proved that point on PledgeMe!” says PledgeMe co-founder Anna Guenther.
The PledgeMe platform is growing from strength to strength, recently surpassing $330,000 pledged by over 4,000 supporters.
