Parnell Office Shines at Annual Awards

Media Release
6 August 2012

Parnell Office Shines at LJ Hooker/Harveys ‘Night of Stars’ Annual Awards

One of the smaller offices carried off some of the biggest awards at the 2012 New Zealand LJ Hooker/Harveys ‘Night of Stars’ annual property awards last month.

Realty Executives Ltd, trading as LJ Hooker/Harveys Parnell took the title for the Top Small Office (1-5 sales people), Cherry Killgour claimed the ‘Top Auction Lister’ and ‘Top Marketer’ awards, and to complete the hat-trick Ann Foley took out the award for ‘Best Business Support.’

Business owner Colin Varney describes the awards - based on overall performance across the group of 72 offices nationwide over the previous 12 months -“as a tribute to a small and dedicated group of property professionals.

“While the Top Office award is exciting - the second consecutive year Parnell has won that category - the individual awards to Cherry and Ann are especially significant and a reward for their hard work, loyalty and commitment to our vision which focuses on complete customer service and client satisfaction.”

Mr Varney says “for Cherry, with more than 18 years of property sales experience, during which time she has sold well in excess of 1,000 properties to a combined value approaching a quarter of a Billion dollars, the award as Top Auction Lister and No.2 for total number of sales are results which speak for themselves.

“While other agents and offices gain more listings, few if any have a better success rate, and I doubt if any work harder than Cherry to achieve a successful outcome. Many of her clients are solicitors and financial institutions and private home owners. The fact that a number of her sales are apartments shows her commitment to achieve the best results for clients, no matter the size and value of the property.”

At the awards Cherry also received the rare distinction of being inducted as a ‘Life Member’ of the sought-after multi-million dollar ‘Captain’s Club.’

Mr Varney says that Ann, who has been working as executive assistant to Cherry since 2006, was named the “stand-out performer for customer service, attitude, communication skills and work performance, and their strong business relationship is the catalyst for their combined success.”
