Cross-government compliant Mobile Device Management

Mobile Mentor provides cross-government compliant Mobile Device Management
service in New Zealand

29 August 2012 - Enterprise mobile solutions provider, Mobile Mentor,
launches its locally hosted cross-government compliant Mobile Device
Management (MDM) service for the public sector.

The solution is offered in partnership with New Zealand's leading
Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider, Revera.

Both companies are part of the newly formed Stack Alliance, a group of
leading ICT companies offering locally hosted services and solutions to the
public sector in New Zealand.

MDM services have been available to New Zealand enterprises and government
for about 2 years using an off-shore hosting model. However, off-shore
hosting is a concern for government agencies that need to ensure their
user's credentials are stored within NZ.

With today's announcement, Mobile Mentor is addressing these public sector
concerns around data sovereignty and is offering an MDM service that is
locally hosted in Revera's cross-government certified Homeland data centres.

Mobile Mentor's MDM platform is provided by AirWatch, the world's leader in
enterprise-grade Mobile Device Management. Through the use of Airwatch,
Mobile Mentor can provide 'over-the-air' enrolment and configuration of
smartphones and tablets, policy enforcement, application management, a
secure document container and security measures such as passcode
enforcement, remote wiping and locking of devices.

Mobile Mentor and Airwatch have been working together since mid 2011 and
have already deployed on-premise MDM infrastructure and cloud based services
for government organisations in New Zealand and Australia.

Clients can choose from a number of service options, ranging from software
licenses only to a more comprehensive MDM service integrated with the
client's Active Directory and a Secure Email Gateway.

MDM typically forms part of a broader mobile management service that
includes 24x7 specialist mobile service desk, hot-swap hardware
replacements, mobile expense management and mobile policy consulting.
