New Zealander wins international intellectual property

An Auckland intellectual property
expert has won a major international intellectual property
award.
Paul Adams, CEO of
Takapuna based EverEdge IP, won the Outstanding IP Leader
Contribution category at the China Intellectual Property
Focus Awards, which were recently announced in Shanghai.
EverEdge IP is an idea and technology commercialisation firm that provides specialist resources and advice for maximising returns on investment in new product development and intellectual property.
Event organizers say the awards, which attracted entries from all over the world, are designed to identify and intellectual property leaders who have demonstrated an unparalleled ability to succeed and who continually set standards of excellence.
“Judges were impressed with Paul’s advanced understanding of intellectual property and commercialization issues and the cutting edge advice he provides to clients. This enables them to utilize intellectual property assets in new and highly profitable ways,” says Zhang Qingkui, Director General, Pharmaceutical and Biotech Examination Department of the China State Intellectual Property Office.
The conference was attended by hundreds of intellectual property leaders from all over the world. EverEdge Chief Executive Paul Adams says: “I am delighted to have won an award at this prestigious event, which proves that New Zealand can be a world leader in commercializing intellectual property.”
