Overseas Market Report
Stocks ended lower as fears of a global recession weighed.

The World Bank today trimmed its forecast for economic growth in Asia, particularly noting a potential slowdown in China. The bank now expects growth in China to be 7.2% for this year and 7.6% in 2013, with each reading lower than the previously forecast numbers of 7.6% and 8.0% last May. The bank also cautioned that if multiple countries were to leave the euro-zone, it would lead to a multipercentage drop in growth for 2013. Although many of the Asian nations could likely withstand such circumstances on their own, the bank said they should be prepared to implement stimulus measures should conditions be worse-than-expected. ..
