Mitre 10 Mega Petone Scoops Second Top Accolade

Mitre 10 MEGA Petone has won the annual Hardware Award for Trade Store of the Year (under 4,000m2) taking out a top spot at the Awards for a second year running.

The award is open to all hardware stores servicing the trade sector and recognises outstanding stores in the industry. Last year they were named Store of the Year in the over 4000m2 of retail showroom area category.

Mitre 10 MEGA Petone Member Martyn Lockyer, was very pleased with this year’s win, proving that Petone’s Mitre 10 MEGA store is getting its offer right for the trade sector.

“It’s a great feeling to win a second award and it reflects well on our team culture and our commitment to the trades and the greater community. My team works really hard for each other and our customers.

“We’re just one of nearly 100 stores nationwide that is a part of the Mitre 10 co-operative, so to be singled out in this way is fantastic. We are also fortunate to be able to provide an increased range of supplies for our customers.

“Our second win really reflects our top spot in the industry,” says Mr Lockyer.

The Hardware Awards are designed to recognise industry-wide success and applaud the success of New Zealand hardware, builders’ supply and home décor retail stores.
