Overseas Market
Report
Stocks were mostly lower this morning amid
earnings. There were no major economic news releases. At
market close the Dow and S&P 500 eked out minor gains, while
the Nasdaq was 0.4% higher.
Reports emerged that the US
Food and Drug Administration has received five reports in
the last year that cite consumption of energy drinks from
Monster Beverage (MNST) as a possible factor in five deaths.
Monster says that they have not been notified of these
reports from the FDA and that they are unaware of any
fatality caused by their products. Shares of the energy
drink maker tumbled over 14% on the news. .. Read More
