Supermarket Purchases of
Cottonsofts And Tuffy Lead to Surprise Summer
Fun
Winning a prize was the last thing the
members of the Kalsi family were thinking about when they
picked up packs of CottonSofts toilet tissue and Tuffy paper
towels at their local Countdown in Gisborne.
They were stunned to discover shortly afterwards that they had won one of three prizes in the Family Summer Kit promotion, news of which was all the more welcome because of an upcoming family camping trip. Each of the Family Summer Kits includes a Kathmandu 360 tent, Viking Espri Kayak, Gasmate 4 Burner Gas BBQ and a sports pack, with the total pool of prizes worth more than $11,000.
Cottonsoft Marketing Manager Denise Calver says the company made the product selection for the Family Summer Kit prizes based on each item’s fit with the CottonSofts and Tuffy brands, which offer quality family products to make day-to-day life easier.
Cottonsoft partnered with OneCard to run the promotion, which offered customers the chance to win one of three Family Summer Kits when they purchased CottonSofts or Tuffy and swiped their OneCard during September and October.
Another Family Summer Kit winner was Jane Turner, who scored her prize after purchasing Tuffy paper towels at Countdown Quay Street. Jane plans to share her winnings with family over Christmas, and she and her partner, both keen kayakers, were especially thrilled by the inclusion of the Viking Espri Kayak.
Kim Calvert, New Zealand Country Manager, says of the Family Summer Kit promotion, “Our goal was to give some lucky families a truly fun summer, and we are delighted that the prizes have been so well-received.”
