ASB Mobile app
innovates with ability to pay Trade Me sellers
From today, ASB customers can make payments directly to Trade Me sellers in the latest enhancement to the popular ASB Mobile banking app.
“Functionality to pay for Trade Me won items is now integrated seamlessly into the ASB Mobile app. Trade Me has transformed the way Kiwis buy and sell online and the ability to pay Trade Me sellers directly without exchanging bank account numbers is a further way we have evolved our ASB Mobile app to make life easier for ASB customers,” says General Manager Brand Experience and Digital Channels, Anna Curzon.
Users are able to access and log in to Trade Me through the app, select an item to pay for, select what ASB account they would like to use and receive an instant confirmation that payment has been sent. Trade Me sellers then receive a notification email advising them how to collect their payment.
Trade Me functionality is the latest addition to the range of payment options offered by the app including the ability to make payments to friends via their mobile number or email address and is also the only banking app to offer the ability to make payments directly to Facebook ‘friends’.
In response to customer feedback, users of the ASB mobile banking app can also now select up to three account balances to be available via the Quick Balance feature of the application.
ASB customers can now also view their KiwiSaver accounts using the ASB Mobile App.
The ASB Mobile app is the most comprehensive banking app in New Zealand, being available on Apple, Android and Windows smartphones and has been registered on over 140,000 devices.
