Report
Stocks were mixed as investors digested
data, earnings reports, and President Obama's State of the
Union address on Tuesday night, particularly his comments on
the economy.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished
down 35.79 points, or 0.26%, to 13,982.91 on Wednesday. The
Standard & Poor's 500-stock index rose 0.90 points, or
0.06%, to 1,520.33 and the Nasdaq Composite Index gained
