Chevron to Launch Caltex with Go Clear

Chevron to Launch Caltex with Go Clear

Auckland, 7 March 2013 – As legislative requirements for emission standards in heavy transport tighten, Chevron NZ has announced the launch of Caltex with Go Clear, a specialised Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) required for SCR technology found on board new trucks, tractors and buses.

Caltex with Go Clear is a solution made from a combination of high purity urea and ultra-pure demineralised water. Caltex with Go Clear is dispensed into a dedicated on-board tank and injected into the exhaust systems of SCR vehicles to reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxide.

“Our business is pleased to see the launch of Caltex with Go Clear and the role Chevron is playing in providing environmentally beneficial products to commercial customers,” says Nick Snelling, Country Manager of Linfox Logistics (NZ) Ltd.

The wider New Zealand commercial audience has also shown an active interest in the convenient access of this product. “We appreciate all of the feedback provided to date on Caltex with Go Clear,” says Pete Morris, General Manager of Chevron New Zealand. “We are pleased to have launched this locally manufactured product which not only supports our local economy, but also lowers our collective environmental foot print by removing the need to import the finished product from overseas.”

Chevron has partnered with local co-operative Ballance Agri-Nutrients, who operate the only ammonia urea plant in New Zealand, and Orica New Zealand Limited to supply Caltex with Go Clear to our network of strategic Diesel Stops.

The first Caltex Go Clear tank has been installed at the Caltex Bombay Diesel Stop. Further tanks are expected to be installed throughout 2013.

This facility accepts all StarCards plus it is EFTPOS enabled.
