Kiwibank named best bank in New Zealand

Prestigious international finance magazine , Global Finance, has named Kiwibank as best bank in New Zealand for 2013.

The editors of Global Finance chose best banks in countries and regions throughout the world after extensive consultations with bankers, corporate financial executives and analysts.

The magazine said it made the awards to banks that attended carefully to their customers’ needs in difficult markets and accomplished better results while laying the foundations for future success”.

“This year’s winning banks have one thing in common, a focus on responding to the needs of their customers,” according to Global Finance’s publisher, Joseph D. Giarraputo.

Kiwibank Chief executive Paul Brock said recognition of this type is important to Kiwibank .

“The award acknowledges that Kiwibank has not lost sight of its customers as it strives to increase market share,” Mr Brock said.
