HORIBA Scientific to resell
Izon’s qNano and qViro-X
Friday 5
April 2013, CAMBRIDGE, UK and CHRISTCHURCH, NZ –
Leading scientific instrument manufacturer HORIBA Scientific
(www.horiba.com) will now sell and
support the Izon qNano and qViro-X particle characterization
products in France.
The devices, which utilize innovative nanopore-based detection, are enabling leading researchers studying a range of nano- and micro-scale particles, including viruses, exosomes and drug delivery particles, to characterize their samples with a level of detail not previously available.
Mark Bumiller, European Manager for Particle Size Analysis Products, HORIBA Scientific says, “Since this is a particle-by-particle technique the results are high resolution, extremely accurate, and provided with a number based distribution as demanded by new EU regulations for nanoparticles in consumer products.”
qNano (www.izon.com/qNano) is a compact bench-top device for highly precise physical characterization (size, zeta-potential, concentration) of a wide range of particle types.
The qViro-X (www.izon.com/qViro-X) is a specialized virus analysis instrument for assessment of viral titre and aggregation, purpose-built for virus-handling environments. Viral vaccines manufacturers are using Izon’s systems for improved quality control in the production setting.
Hans van der Voorn, Executive Chairman of New Zealand nanotechnology company Izon Science says, “We’re delighted to be partnering with HORIBA Scientific to increase our presence in France. As a total solution provider they will be able to serve the market extremely well.”
