Specialist corporate PR consultancy, spice communications group, has been instrumental in Abano Healthcare Group taking home the Emerging Leaders Best Corporate Communicator Award at the prestigious INFINZ Awards dinner last night in Auckland.
Managing partner of spice communications group, Jackie Ellis, has worked with Abano as their communications manager for the past 10 years. She credits a top-down approach to corporate communications as a key ingredient in Abano’s successful IR and communications programme.
“At Abano, corporate communications is a key priority and it is driven from the top down. The Chairman and the Board are strong believers in good shareholder communications, and we work closely with the senior management team in the preparation and delivery of all investor communications.
“This Award is proof that you don’t need to be a large company with thousands of shareholders and large budgets in order to have a professional communications programme. At spice, we work in partnership with Abano and other listed companies to provide an effective, professional and Award-winning corporate communications service.”
Chief Operating Officer at Abano, Richard Keys, accepted the Award on behalf of the Company.
In his speech, he said: “At Abano, we deliver on our promises and we never promise what we can’t deliver. We communicate clearly and honestly and we don’t believe in spin. This approach has helped us build strong trust with our shareholders and the investment market.
“I would like to acknowledge our excellent communications manager - Jackie Ellis from spice communications group - who has partnered with us for over a decade. Jackie helps us aim for best practice and is a key driver in our communications programme.”
The INFINZ Award follows hot on the heels of spice communication group’s successful launch of Business PR Packages for SMEs.
“Green shoots are starting to appear in NZ Inc and businesses are now looking to connect with stakeholders, tell their stories and share their successes. Our Business PR Packages provide a cost effective method for any business to take advantage of the benefits of PR and good communications.”
