Harcourts: Top performances from New Zealand

Top performances from New Zealand

Press Release: Harcourts

4 June 2013

The success of New Zealand’s largest real estate company Harcourts has been celebrated on the global stage.

At the International Harcourts Awards held in Australia, New Zealand achieved eight of the Top 10 International Sales Consultants.

The number one ranking went to Matty Ma from Auckland’s Albany office, who has completed a remarkable $375 million in settled sales over the past 15 years.

In addition New Zealand branches made up all five of the Top 5 International Offices.

Harcourts Group NZ CEO Hayden Duncan says the success is an indication of the depth of talent in New Zealand.

“Although we are constantly hearing the market is strong here, it is not in terms of the volume of houses available.

“Our sales consultants work extremely hard, and the success at the awards is a good indication that what we are doing is working, despite the market.”

Making it into the Top 10 International Sales Consultants were: Albany’s Matty Ma (1), Cameron Bailey of Papanui (2), Alison Aitken of Christchurch City (4), Anton Huang of Howick (5), Hamilton Central City’s Shaun Cosgrave (6), Charlotte Marshall of Epsom (7), Mary Turnbull of Papanui (9) and Mike Ledger of Upper Hutt (10).

The Top 5 International Offices went to Papanui, Christchurch City, Wellington City, Albany and Milford.

This year marks Harcourt’s 125th birthday celebrations. The company was established in 1888 in Wellington by J.B Harcourt. Over the years it has grown to become New Zealand’s largest real estate group and is now exporting services and systems to over 800 offices throughout 10 countries globally.

Still privately New Zealand owned after 125 years, Harcourts is an iconic Kiwi business success story. www.harcourts.co.nz
