New-look Auckland Airport website improves its form and function
Whether you are one
of the millions of people who enter or exit New Zealand
every year, or you simply drop off or pick up friends and
family, accessing information and planning your next visit
to Auckland Airport just got whole a
lot easier with the
launch of a revamped website by Auckland Airport.
The
new and improved Auckland Airport website,
www.aucklandairport.co.nz, has been redesigned with the
needs of the customer in mind and provides the most relevant
information for anyone departing, arriving or in transit in
a simple,
categorised layout.
Marike Zwaagman,
Auckland Airport’s Head of Marketing, says the new website
is
designed to enhance the first interaction users have with Auckland Airport, to make it easy for people to find what they’re looking for and to showcase the breadth of services and amenities available at New Zealand’s largest airport.
“First impressions count and we wanted to
create the best experience possible for this initial
introduction to what Auckland Airport has to offer our
customers. If you’re arriving, departing, in transit,
greeting or saying farewell, the most important information
is now more easily accessible. Pre-planning your tax and
duty-free shopping is also a lot simpler with an extensive
shopping and dining section on the website. We have also
made it easier for people to contact our retailers
directly”
The new ‘Shop/Eat’ section showcases the
many leading international and New Zealand brands available
at the international terminal such as Marc Jacob,
Dior,
M.A.C, Benefit, Karen Walker, Icebreaker, Ecoya and
Dick Frizzell, as well as a
range of dining options to
suit all tastes.
Auckland Airport has introduced a new
‘Quick Guide’ section which means no matter where you
are on the website the most important information is just
one click away.
Quick Guides include flight information, airport maps and duty free allowances. The website also allows people to create personalised shopping checklists which they can email to themselves or others – there’s now no need to forget anything when you arrive.
The
corporate and property sections of the Auckland Airport
website have also been redesigned, providing all visitors to
the airport the best online
experience.
