Polycom announces Polycom® RealPresence® Mobile 3.0 and Polycom® RealPresence® Desktop 3.0, video collaboration software applications for mobile devices and personal computers. The new versions include enhanced content-sharing capabilities and support across more devices from companies including Apple, LG, Samsung and Sony

Polycom RealPresence Mobile 3.0 software is Polycom’s award-winning application that lets customers securely extend the use of video collaboration beyond the conference room to easily connect tablets and smartphones (iOS and Android devices). The key benefits are:

·         Ability to share various file formats

·         Support on more mobile devices (including Samsung GALAXY® S4, Sony Xperia ZL and Sony Xperia Z)

·         Ability to control cameras remotely

·         Polycom SmartPairing™ technology, a unique innovation that wirelessly pairs tablets to Polycom’s video conferencing room systems

Polycom RealPresence Desktop 3.0 software is an affordable, enterprise-quality video collaboration application for Windows and Mac-based laptops and PCs. The key benefits are:

·         The solution is now available to work on Macs with support for Apple® Mac OS X

·         Layout enhancements to the user interface

Added benefits to customers of both RealPresence Mobile 3.0 and RealPresence Desktop 3.0 also include:

·         Support for SVC, delivering 3X HD multi-point video capacity for greater scalability

·         H.264 High Profile support, which can reduce the bandwidth requirements for video conferencing by as much as 50 percent, substantially reducing network costs.
