NZ Tax Refunds’ First Online Tax Refunds Company to Refund Clients For 2013 Tax Year

The IRD released some of the refunds for the financial year just ended on Friday, 14th June at 12am midnight and we released our WooHoo’s straight away that day.  This makes NZ Tax Refunds the fastest paying tax agent again for the 4th year running.  That’s a massive WooHoo achievement.”

Mrs. Hegarty expects there will indeed be many WooHoo moments as over 93% of NZ Tax Refunds customers have found out they’ve overpaid their tax in the last 5 years.  The average refund is around $460. 

“Anyone that hasn’t already applied for a tax refund since 1 April 2013 can also apply now to see if they have a tax refund due for the 2012 – 2013 tax year, or in fact, any tax year from 1st April 2008. It’s really satisfying to help put that money back into the pockets of thousands of Kiwis creating WooHoo moments everywhere,” she says.

Mrs. Hegarty founded NZ Tax Refunds in 2008 out of a desire to make it simple for people to get money back from the IRD.  She had the idea of making it easier for clients to find out if they were due a tax refund while working in her accounting business.
