Kiwis set to save even more with ‘Club Jetstar’
• Jetstar Airways introduces new membership program called ‘Club Jetstar’
• ‘Club Jetstar’ to provide members with exclusive sale fares as low as $1 and other discounts*
• Bonus $50 Jetstar travel voucher for those who join before 30 June 2013#

It’s up, up and away as Jetstar today launched an exclusive membership program, Club Jetstar.

The new club has been introduced in response to customer feedback to offer more value and choice. Club members will have access to exclusive sales events and discounts*, with some sale fares as low as $1.

In addition to everyday low fares and market-leading sales promotions, Club Jetstar members will have access to at least four exclusive sale events each year, as well as discounts and bonus offers on car rental.

Jetstar is providing a special bonus offer of a $50 travel voucher# to customers who sign up by 30 June 2013. This could all add up to a value of over $380^ in the first year (see benefits table below).

With an initial joining fee of just $29 and the annual membership fee of $29.99 waived for the first year~, the program is expected to appeal strongly to New Zealand leisure travellers.

Jetstar Group Chief Commercial Officer David Koczkar said the new club has been introduced in response to customer feedback to offer more value and choice and is a significant milestone for the airline and its customers.

“Jetstar is delighted to introduce Club Jetstar, a program focused on bringing even more low fares and additional benefits to our valued customers,” said Mr Koczkar.

“Club Jetstar is a win-win for Kiwi travellers, especially those who act quickly. Customers who pay $29 to join before 30 June 2013 will receive a $50 travel voucher on sign-up to spend on Jetstar, as well as having on-going access to exclusive deals.”

“We will introduce further discount offers as the program grows to ensure even greater choice and value for our customers.”

^ $272 saving on fare sales is based on a family of 4 travelling from Auckland to Wellington return and paying $1 per person each way ($8 in total), compared to the Jetstar standard non-sale price (excluding Hot Fares) from $70.00 per person return.

$28 saving on car rental upgrade is based on an upgrade from a class E to group P at the standard rate in Australia (Melbourne) over a maximum rental period of 4 days. Upgrades subject to availability at participating Budget locations for reservations of minimum 2 days, maximum 4, that include a Saturday night and commence before 1 April 2014. Other conditions apply.

$30 saving is based on renting a car with Avis in Australia or New Zealand for 3 days or more, and when you add a GPS to your rental you'll receive the first 3 days GPS rental free.
