Punakaiki Fund Appoints Sandy Maier And Wayne Hudson as Directors
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Sandy Maier and Wayne Hudson as independent directors of Punakaiki Fund Limited.
Wayne is an experienced legal expert who increasingly applied his legal and commercial skills to helping high growth technology companies over the past decade. He brings considerable expertise and connections with the technology-led sector.
Sandy has deep governance experience, particularly with funds management. He brings a wide portfolio of knowledge and connections, and is well known to investors in New Zealand.
Sandy and Wayne join Lance Wiggs on the board of Punakaiki Fund.

About Sandy Maier
Sandy has extensive experience in
corporate governance and finance. A Yale undergraduate and
Harvard Law School graduate, Sandy served in international
commercial and investment banking with Citicorp/Citibank for
15 years. He first came to New Zealand in 1986 to establish
Citibank in New Zealand as CEO and in 1990 served as the
Statutory Manager of Development Finance Corporation, a role
which saw him awarded a Commemoration Medal for services to
NZ. He is well regarded in the fund management community and
respected for taking on the challenges of the toughest
turnarounds.
Sandy serves as a director for several companies including Ngai Tahu Holdings and PowerbyProxi, and is Chairman of Pathfinder Asset Management and Innova Products.
About Wayne Hudson
Wayne
Hudson is a technology and intellectual property law expert.
In his career as a lawyer he advised on the
commercialisation of intellectual property, the acquisition
and sale of technology businesses, raising capital and the
establishing and structuring of start-up businesses. He also
advised on all aspects of licensing, franchising and
international distribution agreements.
Wayne retired from law at the end of 2012. He was a founding partner of Auckland law firm Hudson Gavin Martin, and before that worked with Bell Gully for 28 years, including twenty one years as a partner. He was a trustee of the Government-established HiGrowth Project Trust and president of the New Zealand Software Association.
