Marsh TO celebrate 55th birthday by making donation to charity

Public Asked to Vote For Recipient

Auckland, 3 July, 2013 – Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and risk management, today announced a donation of $5,500 in celebration of its 55th birthday in New Zealand.

The public are being asked to vote for which charity the money should go to, with the four options being – Arthritis New Zealand, the Cancer Society of New Zealand Inc, Life Education Trust and the Stroke Foundation.

People can vote for their preferred charity until 31 July using the polling tool on www.marsh.co.nz.

”To celebrate 55 years in New Zealand we wanted to do something positive for the communities that have supported us during this time,” said Grant Milne, Country Head of Marsh New Zealand. “The donation of $5,500 adds to the more than $55,000 that Marsh has already given to charities in New Zealand over the last 18 months, along with many hours of staff volunteer leave.”

Incorporated as Price Forbes Ltd on 3 July 1958, the company underwent name changes and takeovers before being formally acquired by Marsh & McLennan Companies in 1998. The company now has over 280 staff in nine offices around New Zealand.
