Peanut Butter Amnesty At the Food Show Auckland

Peanut Butter Amnesty At the Food Show Auckland

1 – 4 August, 2013

The Food Show Auckland exhibitor Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter will be doing something really good for the environment from 1-4 August.

People visiting The Food Show will be able to bring their half-eaten jars of peanut butter to the Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter stand (reallygood.co.nz) and swap them for a 200g jar of Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter.

The initiative is to raise awareness for the Moehau Environment Group with all half-eaten jars going to Moehau to use in its rat trapping programme.

The trapping programme on the Northern Coromandel helps keep native birds safe from predators – including the kiwi. You can check out their efforts here: meg.org.nz.

Pic’s Really Good Peanut Butter uses only the best hi-oleic Aussie nuts, batch roasted then craftily crunched in sunny Nelson. The only thing they add is a little salt – and they even refrain from that in their no-salt version.
