Clicquot in the Snow Launches in Celebrity Style

Clicquot in the Snow Launches in Celebrity Style

31st July 2013

VIP guests and celebrities attending an exclusive opening party at Ekara Private House, overlooking Lake Wakatipu, officially launched Clicquot in the Snow last night. Top NZ snow athletes including Byron Wells, Robett Hollis and Stef Zeestraten enjoyed Veuve Clicquot, gourmet canapés and music by DJ R.I.A, along with local media, hospitality faces and Veuve Clicquot ambassadors Sara Tetro and shoe designer Kathryn Wilson. The official after party continued at The Bunker where guests joined DJ Peter Urlich.

Clicquot in the Snow is part of the international Veuve Clicquot social calendar and this is the third year that Queenstown has been added to the list of international alpine destinations, which includes Tignes, Aspen and Thredbo. The week-long celebration of après ski offers locals and guests the chance to toast winter with one of the world’s finest champagnes, fine food and fabulous parties. “Clicquot in the Snow is one of the highlights of the Veuve Clicquot season calendar and it’s exciting to see New Zealand embracing the culture of après ski,” says Rai Banbury, Veuve Clicquot NZ senior brand manager. “The first festival was held in Aspen, Colorado, six years ago and each year the anticipation for the week grows worldwide. It’s the perfect reason come out of hibernation, paint the town yellow and enjoy winter in style with fine champagne.”

Highlights of the upcoming week include daily Clicquot Brunch Sessions and a Clicquot Champagne Evening on Thursday, the Coronet Peak Clicquot Snow Bar – for a spot of après ski at the base of the slopes, and the event’s first Night Ski on Coronet Peak as well, this coming Friday. New Zealand shoe queen Kathryn Wilson will provide guests with a preview of her Summer ’13 collection at ‘An evening with Kathryn Wilson at The Hills’ on Saturday night. All of which the public and Queenstown visitors are encouraged to join.
