Kelly Bennett Launches New Venture: One Plus One Communications

Kelly Bennett, previously the founder and director of TBWA’s Trans-Tasman agency Eleven PR, today announced the launch of his own consultancy, One Plus One Communications.

Stephanie Lowe, formerly Director of OMD’s Fuse PR Division and a PRINZ award-winning consultant in her own right, has joined him as a member of the senior executive team.

“One Plus One is a new kind of creatively-led, business-driven, corporate communications consultancy and our advice and work is designed to improve perceptions and enhance revenues for our clients,” said Bennett.

“We’ve recognised a gap in the market between some of the more well-established, traditional corporate PR agencies and others (which are often housed within advertising agencies or media companies) that offer consumer and activation services. Our position, for which there is clear market demand, is right in the middle of those two disparate types of offer,” he added.

“In the previous agencies we’ve founded and run, we’ve won a bunch of domestic and international accolades for our efforts including PRINZ (Corporate / Sustained category), Holmes Report and Campaign Asia Magazine (Australasian Agency of the Year) awards, all of which we picked up in the last 12 months alone,” he said.

“With One Plus One we offer the same sort of effective, results-driven services for our existing and potential partners, but through a more relevant, contemporary corporate communications focus. Our client portfolio includes organisations operating within the financial, entertainment, construction and professional services sectors.”

“We will be making a further announcement concerning other more senior staff announcements and our network affiliate partner in the coming months,” he concludes.

Bennett joined TBWA\ in 2006 from a senior communications role within the Royal Bank of Scotland, based in Edinburgh. He established then grew Eleven PR to successfully become a network of connected offices with Trans-Tasman clients in dozens of sectors.

He is also a founder of the CAANZ Marcomms Leadership Group (where he served as Deputy Chair for two years) and was the only NZ / Australian PR judge at the 2012 Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity.
