Rosalie Nelson to speak at Electra Business Breakfast

One of the most influential woman in telecommunications in New Zealand to speak at Electra Business Breakfast

Rosalie Nelson, Manager, Market Strategy and Insight at Chorus will be speaking at the next Electra Business Breakfast in Kapiti. The Breakfast, part of the monthly Electra series, will be at the Coastlands Kapiti Sports Turf on Wednesday 4 September from 7.15 am.

Rosalie Nelson is responsible for developing Chorus’s market game plan, covering products, pricing, customer communications and sales strategy. In this role she will work closely with the Chorus customers to support development of next generation and fibre services. Rosalie brings thirteen years of experience as an independent analyst, consultant and industry commentator in Europe, Asia-Pacific and New Zealand, working with senior teams on telecommunications and go to market strategies. Prior to joining Chorus, Rosalie was Research Director for independent research and consultancy business IDC NZ.

Rosalie Nelson is responsible for developing Chorus’s market game plan, covering products, pricing, customer communications and sales strategy. Rosalie brings thirteen years of experience as an independent analyst, consultant and industry commentator in Europe, Asia-Pacific and New Zealand, working with senior teams on mobile, broadband, voice and NBN strategies. Prior to joining Chorus, Rosalie was Research Director for independent research and consultancy business IDC NZ. In this role she was responsible for developing IDC's portfolio of quantitative data tracking and forecasts, and delivering detailed, independent analysis on industry trends spanning mobile, broadband, Government NBN projects and Next Generation Services. She is accountable for senior engagement with IDC’s clients, identifying their needs and developing customised consultancy solutions and is an experienced international presenter, commentator and workshop facilitator.

In 2009 Rosalie was recognised as the most influential woman in telecommunications in New Zealand and in 2010 won the CommsDay 'Best Industry Analyst' award.

Prior to joining IDC in 2007, Rosalie led the Asia-Pacific research practice for strategic research company Ovum, based in Melbourne. She engaged at an executive level with incumbents, competitive carriers and vendors in Singapore, China, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, Australian and Hong Kong. Her areas of expertise include corporate strategy, regulatory development, broadband, mobile and competitive service strategies, providing both a breadth and depth of industry insight. Rosalie was previously Digital Media Director for Ovum in London, specialising in mobile services.
