The Icehouse signs partnership with TusPark

The Icehouse has signed a partnership with Tinghua University Science Park (Tus-Park) Beijing for the establishment of a China Market Development Hub

At the Tus-Park Innovation Forum in Xi’An, China, The Icehouse and Tus-Park Beijing signed a formal partnership for the establishment of The Icehouse’s China Market Development Hub.

The partnership includes a number of new initiatives to be put in place between the parties, including:

Tus-Park support for the establishment of the China Hub
establishment of a mutual internship programme
investigation of co-investing programmes for Chinese and New Zealand companies entering the China market
promoting China business in New Zealand

The partnership was documented in a signing ceremony between Andrew Hamilton, CEO of The Icehouse and CEO of Tus-Holdings Wang Jiwu.

Andrew Hamilton says the growth in mutual trade with China has been truly phenomenal since the FTA was signed.

“There is however so much more potential to grow the trade, as long as we can find a way for the smaller innovative companies from each market to trade. This is extraordinarily challenging, so we have established this Hub to lower the risk, speed up the time to internationalization and grow our mutual trade,” he says.
