Full Steam Ahead For the Coffee Club: 47th Store Opening Makes it One of New Zealand’s Fastest Growing Café Brands

On Tuesday 1 October, The Coffee Club Constellation Drive on Auckland’s North Shore will be opening its doors for the first time. The popular café group now has 47 stores throughout New Zealand, making it one of the largest and fastest growing café brands in the country.

Sanjiv and Nive Arora, who live locally, have been patiently waiting for a spot to be made available in the burgeoning Constellation Drive area.

“I first saw The Coffee Club in Melbourne seven or eight years ago and it really appealed to me. I like the café bar restaurant concept and the fact that customers can either come in for coffee and cake, or have a full breakfast, lunch or dinner,” explains Sanjiv. “It’s great that consumers in New Zealand have so many options now. We really wanted a store on the North Shore as it’s where we live and we wanted to start a business in our local area. Constellation Drive is perfect as there are so many businesses and shops around, and it is growing all the time.”

Originally from India, where he worked in the hotel industry, Sanjiv started from scratch in New Zealand, beginning as an entry level staff member at a New Zealand restaurant chain and working his way up to management, before also gaining qualifications and experience in I.T. This included achieving a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and I.T at Auckland University.

“All of the hard work is finally paying off,” says Sanjiv. “Everything I’ve done has given me the tools to make this business a success. It’s given me an appreciation of good food, great customer service and how to treat your employees. We’re looking forward to opening our doors and inviting people in for a coffee, a drink, or something to eat in a relaxed comfortable environment.”

The Coffee Club Constellation Drive will be offering store opening deals from 1 October. They are also planning a variety of other special gifts for the first customers to visit the store.

The Coffee Club Constellation Drive can be found at 32 Constellation Drive, Albany.

All The Coffee Club coffee is UTZ Certified, which means every cup had been produced using sustainable methods, with care for people and the environment.
