All set for a splendid Christmas

The Langham is decking the halls, restaurants and even The Great Room this festive season. The lavish Christmas celebrations start November 18 with plenty of pre-Christmas cheer including the hanging of its elegant decorations and trimming of the many Christmas trees, and end with a Boxing Day finale of festive fun.

Have yourself a Merry Christmas at Eight

Eight restaurant kicks off the festive season with its eight delicious kitchens plus all the traditional favourites including glazed ham, succulent turkey and Christmas pudding during lunch and dinner from November 18 to December 23. Then on Christmas Eve, a special dinner at Eight has all the culinary trimmings plus Christmas crackers, chocolates and gifts for the children. Santa makes a special appearance on Christmas Day during lunch and dinner while diners feast on decadent extras such as crayfish, wagyu beef and venison cutlets as well as more sumptuous Christmas fare. Eight is also open Boxing Day for lunch and dinner, again with all the festive trimmings.

A Classic Christmas Tiffin in The Winery

Christmas celebrations will also be in full swing in The Winery from November 18 to December 24 with a delicious pre-Christmas Tiffin Afternoon Tea. Adding yet another layer of sophistication to Christmas get-togethers, tempting treats such as mince pies, mulled wine cupcakes and macaroons with spicy chocolate fillings will make you feel like all your Christmases have come at once. Then on Christmas Day, decadent items such as duck foie gras crème brulee, leek and Kikorangi tart, liquid Christmas pudding and a special Christmas surprise for all the family will leave you feeling very spoiled.

Special Christmas Afternoon Tea in The Great Room on December 8

Don’t miss the hotel’s legendary Christmas Afternoon Tea in The Great Room on Sunday December 8. The magnificent room will be decked in all its festive finery, with a three-piece band and photos with Santa providing extra Christmas cheer.
