CTC Aviation announces major business growth and expansion plans
• Sales up 46% for the year
ending 30 June 2013 when compared to the same period last
year.
• 14th fastest growing UK private company for
international sales. Overseas revenue tops £4 million in
2012, compared to £622,000 in 2010.
• CTC Aviation
enhances its market leading pilot training programme – CTC
Wings.
CTC Aviation has announced sales of £41 million for the year ending 30th June 2013, a 46% increase on the same period in 2012. The company is headquartered in the UK with crew training centres in both New Zealand and the UK. It is one of the world’s largest pilot training companies working with over 50 global airlines including British Airways, Jetstar and Qatar Airways.
CTC Aviation is in the top 14 privately owned UK companies with the fastest growing overseas sales(1). Between 2010 and 2012, its international revenue grew from £622,000 to over £4 million.
Despite this already strong growth, the company says there is huge potential for further expansion because between now and 2020, the aviation industry needs to find over 235,000 new pilots to meet growing demand for air travel.
To help capitalise on this opportunity, CTC Aviation announced major enhancements to its pilot cadet training programme, CTC Wings, to lessen individuals’ overall financial investment into the course.
Managing Director, CTC Aviation Training (UK) Limited, Martin Hunt, said, “We have enjoyed phenomenal growth and the opportunities for further expansion are still very exciting. We have recruited some of the best pilots and trainers in the industry – for example we have 21 ex-British Airways Captains and First Officers – and have recently invested millions of pounds in our business, including new and upgraded training simulators and aircraft.
“We feel that we offer the best possible
pilot training courses available, and this has been a key
factor behind our strong growth. Hopefully with the new
enhancements to our CTC Wings Cadet Programme we can attract
even more candidates.”
To date, over 99% of CTC
Wing’s graduates have been placed with an airline.
In June 2012 Inflexion Private Equity completed a management buyout of CTC Aviation Group which saw the firm work with the existing management team to accelerate CTC’s international growth. For more information visit ctcaviation.com.
