Vodafone gets ahead of the game with new broadband offer

Vodafone has unlocked Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation® Plus to new broadband customers, with the introduction of Gamers Choice.

Gaming fans signing up to Vodafone’s Red Home plans get a free, one year membership to either Xbox Live Gold* (normally $79.95) or PlayStation Plus* (normally $89.95).

Vodafone’s Consumer Director, Matt Williams, says Gamers Choice takes Vodafone Red Home to another level.

“Gaming is a mainstream activity that’s enjoyed by many households. No matter what your console preference, Gamers Choice allows you to enjoy the full digital experience of Xbox or PlayStation – delivered over standard or Ultra Fast broadband – at no extra cost.

“This is the only offer of its kind in the market and we’re pleased to be able to offer gamers another reason to choose Vodafone.”

New customers who sign up to the Gamers Choice on an eligible broadband plan** will receive a unique pass code for Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership. Gamers with an active membership to Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus can use the unique pass code to extend their existing membership for 12 months.

An Xbox Live Gold membership can be used for both Xbox 360 and the new Xbox One.

The latest independent research from Epitiro, a global provider of network performance intelligence, reveals that Vodafone still has on average the fastest ADSL broadband network speeds in New Zealand.

The Fixed Line Broadband (ADSL) Performance Report analysed download and upload speeds and network latency.
