Good Business Egg Awards 2014 Short List announced

Good Business Egg Awards 2014 Short List announced

The short list of NZ business organisations nominated as good business eggs has been carefully determined and final judging is now in the hands of community leaders.

“The results so far show there are some fantastic examples of good practise” said Julie Donvin-Irons Director of Business and Community Shares (BACS) “and we have seen it throughout the whole range of business organisations.

“It’s not about the amounts of sponsorship provided or big branding that may benefit the business more than the community issue, rather more about how the business behaved, how they tackled social issues with real strategy and of course how the community partners perceived them.”

Over the past year 79 businesses were noted for the BACS award and were observed in their commitment to community. Through research and meetings the community organisations provided their thoughts and delivered scores and comments to ascertain who should be nominated for the annual award.

The shortlist includes (in no particular order): Bunnings, Cadbury, Chorus, CQHotels Wellington, Department of Conservation, HealthPost, Horizon Research, KPMG, Les Mills, NZ Rugby, Progressive Enterprises, Thales, The Warehouse, Westpac.

The awards will be presented in Auckland at the end of April.

Last years winners were BNZ, USave and Vodafone.
