Rydges Wellington Dominates National Hospitality Awards Third Year Running
Winner of Accommodation & Marketing Excellence
Rydges Wellington has cemented its position again as the country’s top hotel operator for the third year running after achieving two significant national hospitality awards for accommodation and marketing excellence.
The victorious 280 room, Featherston Street property scooped the pool by winning the ‘Best Hotel Accommodation’ and ‘Excellence in Marketing’ categories presented by Hospitality New Zealand which represents 2,400 hospitality businesses throughout the country.
Winners “truly represent the best that this country has to offer” according to Hospitality New Zealand Chief Executive Officer, Mr Bruce Robertson.
Rydges General Manager, Mr Simon White was humbled to receive the award given the calibre of competition. He was doubly proud of his talented team whom he believes consistently deliver an excellent customer experience and push the boundaries of traditional hotel marketing.

Only twelve months ago Rydges won three awards in the national competition for; ‘Best Accommodation Hotel in New Zealand’, ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ and ‘Excellence in Marketing (Portlander Bar & Grill)’.

Featherston Street hotel property is the first in the New
Zealand capital for the Australasian hotel and Resort
Group.
