Long Overdue Business Trends Report About To Launch

Long Overdue Business Trends Report About To Launch

Even If you’ve never heard about this company before, this report is a must read if you want to be “in the know”

Company Spotlight by Artem Axenov, reprint from NBR, 26 October, 2014

You’ve probably never heard of Wellington-based company E-ideas Limited, yet they know about your business. In fact they talk to someone in your business every few months. This is because E-ideas owns and maintains New Zealand’s largest verified business-to-business (B2B) database called whoiswhere™.

The marketing company E-ideas started operating in 2004, but were soon faced with a dilemma about readily available business data they were sourcing to use for customer projects. With only 15,000 records available for New Zealand in Kompass, they quickly realised there wasn’t enough good quality business data available.

By 2005 E-ideas changed tact and started whoiswhere™ by walking streets and creating New Zealand’s most complete business lists, and later offering customised lists for B2B marketing and research. This also led to the discovery that no one really needs a full list of all New Zealand businesses – most only need a small segment in order to gain the most value. These two values of quality and segmentation have been the defining concepts of how E-ideas operates and the foundation of whoiswhere™ success.

“At E-ideas we believe in “less is best” and in order for our customers to succeed, we help with razor sharp business lists” says Managing Director Assia Salikhova.

Other E-ideas services which complement whoiswhere™ lists are also available to clients, from data cleaning and enrichment, geo-marketing and telemarketing to writing direct marketing strategies and more. Through the years of seeing how businesses use data, E-ideas was able to build up a suite of services that address these needs.

You can imagine that by verifying data of all the businesses in commercial premises nationwide for nine years, E-ideas has accumulated invaluable knowledge about the country’s business landscape, how its changed, and likely trends that may happen in future. E-ideas is in regular contact with over 130,000 businesses everywhere in NZ, recording changes year after year.

So their recent announcement of releasing a New Zealand wide business market report doesn’t come as a big surprise. Assia says it’s the right time to step forward and this research is a natural progression of the services E-ideas is able to provide for its customers.

The report is promising to bring together insights about the New Zealand business landscape which the company has been accumulating over the years. Segmentation has been hugely important for E-ideas when working with clients and we’ve been promised to see this continue into the report. Insights will be segmented into industries, business size by staff number and location. E-ideas also has some fascinating statistics about how businesses have changed over the past few years on a scale which even Statistics New Zealand cannot claim.

This report is set to come out this November and already there has been huge interest from businesses not just nationally, but internationally. Assia says the amount of interest for the company’s debut report has been phenomenal. Banks, government departments, financial companies and professional service firms have enquired and are expected to purchase the report in the coming months.
