VMOB’S RISING STAR GAINS GLOBAL MOMENTUM
• 11-fold AMRC growth expected following McDonald’s Japan deployment
• McDonald’s Japan deal boosts Asian presence
• USA expansion – New York City office opens; VMob CEO takes on the States
• Deloitte Fast50 awards VMob ‘Rising Star – One to Watch’ honour
Multi award-winning New Zealand mobile marketing company, VMob (VML), continues its surge of success with an expected Annualised Monthly Commitment Revenue (AMCR) increase, New York office opening and announcement of a lucrative agreement with McDonald’s Japan.
CEO Scott Bradley says “VMob is continuing to accelerate its activity in markets around the world – demonstrating the scalability of the platform and global appeal to retailers. The recent win in Japan and entry into the US market will underpin further expansion activity.”
Double-digit AMRC boost
A major commercial agreement with McDonald’s Japan is predicted to boost the VMob AMCR[1] 11-fold[2] once the VMob platform is deployed. This SaaS-specific financial measure provides a basis for measuring ongoing performance, growth and value of the business.
Lucrative McDonald’s Japan deal secured
VMob will be making its mark in Japan following a rigorous RFP process and subsequent successful tender for a commercial agreement with McDonald’s Japan – the second largest market outside of the USA for the global QSR giant. Details of the deal are still confidential but will significantly grow the VMob presence in the Asian market.
VMob USA foothold secured
Expansion into the United States has accelerated to take full advantage of local opportunities coupled with a strong partnership with Microsoft, which will see the technology multinational support VMob in the United States and beyond.
As the doors to a Lower Manhattan office open, VMob Founder and CEO Scott Bradley will be at the helm for the first three months to lead penetration into the market.
The appetite for mobile marketing solutions in the USA has increased at a supercharged rate with every retailer in the USA top 100 deploying a mobile app, compared to only about 40% only two years ago.
VMob joins Deloitte ‘Fast50’ elite
VMob was recognised this week in the Deloitte Fast50 awards in Auckland, winning a ‘Rising Star - One to Watch’ award in recognition of the notable potential for growth according to the independent analysis of an esteemed panel of judges.
The award sees VMob join many of New Zealand’s most successful brands and businesses in the Deloitte Fast50 alumni including Xero, GreenButton and other technology pioneer businesses that have gone on to worldwide acclaim.

[1] A key financial metric within high-growth technology and SaaS businesses, the Annualised Monthly Commitment Revenue shows monthly recurring revenue from all customers at a given point in time multiplied by 12 months.
2 This percentage increase has been calculated having regard to the projected AMCR for VMob post the deployment of the McDonald’s Japan solution, as against the ACMR for VMob at the end of the 2013 financial year.
