Success for Arista Of Rotorua

Thinking outside the square brings success for Arista Of Rotorua

Thinking outside the square is something which Rotorua moteliers Mike and Annemarie Gallagher are adept.

It's also one of the factors which led to their revered Arista Of Rotorua motel being named the winners of the Rotorua, Bay Of Plenty, Waikato Visitors Guide Hospitality and Attractions at the Chamber Of Commerce awards in Rotorua on Friday night.

The black-tie night of glitz and glamour was attended by a who's who of more than 500 people and celebrated the very best of business achievement for the Rotorua region.

The rise-and-rise of Arista Of Rotorua is a rags to riches story and one which is truly inspirational to others in the motel industry, many of whom are struggling to make end's meet in their constant struggle to boost their occupancy levels.

It is fair to say Arista Of Rotorua have been supreme leaders in many ways for the accommodation sector.

One such area they have embraced liked few others is that of technology where they have taken on the board experts in IT and Social Media Marketing.

They have focussed on the power of social media and have recognised that is where the future lies. In contrast many of their peers have been stuck in the timewarp of traditonal marketing such as yellow pages, newspapers, radio and television.

Arista constantly updates its content online - both through its web site and social media.

Social media and article marketing is helping boost Arista's SEO rankings and leading to greater exposure and awareness of their business.

Another area in which Arista Of Rotorua is leading the field is that of social giving - where they give back to the community.

Their social giving causes have included Rotorua Hospital's Oncology children's room, Ronald McDonald House in Auckland and Workbridge in Rotorua.

But they are also in front of the field in terms of customer satisfaction and the level of service.

The most important things, they say, are good beds comfy seating, good TVs and superb Wi-fi. They also have a great family-focussed playground and a mountain-bike wash-down area.

They don't see the motel as a place people sleep. They see it as an extension of their home and of themselves. They feel that they are welcoming guests into their home - and want them to see it that way too.

Will they rest on their laurels of the award win? I somehow doubt it so watch this space!!
